The absolute best exercise for abs!

A bold statement, but that’s how much I love this exercise. Partly because I “made it up”, but mostly because it works! I call it the “medicine ball sit-up shooter” because it’s done with a medicine ball (MB) and well… “explodes your abs.” This is the best exercise for the abs because it works the entire region (except for the obliques). Anyway, rather than talk about how good it is, I’ll tell you exactly how to do it. By the way, you will need a training partner for this.

Best Exercise for Abs – Tech Tips!

First things first, you want to select a medicine ball and lie on your back in a normal sitting position. Raise the “MB” above your head and when you’re ready, while keeping your arms extended, sit up and let it roll from your fingertips to your partner’s hands (who will be standing by your feet).

Pause briefly while you wait for your training partner to return the medicine ball to your hands. Remember, keep those arms outstretched! Lower your body back to the starting position at a controlled pace. At this point, lift your legs up, keeping them straight, and bring your feet toward the ceiling as you perform a “pelvic tilt.”

Bring them back down at a controlled speed and as soon as your heels hit the ground, crunch back up and throw the “MB” at your training partner. You’ll want to repeat this sequence for as many reps as you can.
