jonathan toews

Toews is the fearless leader of the Blackhawks sporting the “C” on his jersey. He was born on April 29, 1988 in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. He played in Canada as a kid and then went to the University of North Dakota, where he captained the team his senior year. In 2006, he entered the NHL draft and was selected third in the first round by the Chicago Blackhawks. In his first year in the NHL, he led the NHL Rookies in goals with 24 and ranked third in overall points. In 2008, he was named captain of the Blackhawks and no one regretted this decision. Last season, he led the Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. He has many more years left as a star and captain of the Blackhawks.

patrick sharp

Sharp is considered the veteran of the team at the age of twenty-nine and is an assistant captain. He was born on December 27, 1981 in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. He grew up in Thunder Bay, ON, Canada, where he played most of his youth in hockey. When he got to college, he played for the University of Vermont, where he had great years as a college player. In 2001, Sharp entered the NHL draft and was selected in the third round 95th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers. Then, in 2005, the Blackhawks acquired Sharp, where he had a huge impact on the team. In 2006, he played 80 games for the Hawks and had a career-high 35 points. Sharp was part of the 2010 Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks team.

Keith Duncan

Keith is one of the best defensemen the Blackhawks will have and is the team’s other assistant captain. He was born on July 16, 1983 also in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. He lived in Penticton, BC, Canada, where he played a lot of hockey. Keith played college hockey at Michigan State University and then moved on to the Kelowna Hockey League, where he played for a year. He was then selected 54th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2002 NHL draft. Every season Keith has been on the Blackhawks, he has played more than 80 games and holds the record for most consecutive games played in the Blackhawks. Hawks. He was part of the 2010 Stanley Cup-winning team and the winner of the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the best defenseman in the league.

patrick kane

Kane is a big part of the core of the Blackhawks because of all the skills he brings to the team. He was born on November 19, 1988 in Buffalo, NY, United States. He played most of his teenage years in Canada for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. Kane never played for a college team because in 2007 he entered the NHL draft and was drafted first overall by the Blackhawks. In 2007, Kane received the Calder Trophy for being the best rookie in the league, something that only eight Blackhawks players have achieved. Also during this season, he led the rookies with 72 points, a very impressive number for such a young kid. In the 2010 season, Kane would lead American-born players with 88 points and end up scoring the game-winning goal in the Stanley Cup Championship game.

Marian Hosa

I would say that Hossa is the only player on the Blackhawks who has the most experience in the NHL and teaches young players how to play well. He was born on January 12, 1979 in Stara Lubovna, Slovakia, where he played hockey for most of his youth. Hossa entered the NHL draft in 1997 and was selected by the Ottawa Senators 12th overall. He had a great first year with the Senators leading his team with 82 points and 36 goals. Those 36 goals would rank him sixth in the league and lead the NHL with 39 power play points. Later in his career, he went from one team to another, including the Atlanta Thrashers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. Then in the 2009-2010 season, the Blackhawks acquired him. For the third straight season, Hossa would make it to the Stanley Cup game and ultimately win it with the Blackhawks.

brain campbell

Campbell is probably one of the best offensive defenders to ever play the game. With his speed, he is able to outrun almost everyone in the league. He was born on May 23, 1979 in Strathroy, ON, Canada. Campbell entered the 1997 NHL draft, where he was selected by the Buffalo Sabers 156th overall. He played almost his entire career for this team and was named assistant captain of the Sabers. The last year he played for the Sabers he was ranked second in defense in the league with 54 assists. In 2008, Campbell signed a contract with the Blackhawks, where he still plays today. He was a big part of the 2010 Stanley Cup winnings and is still a big part of the team today.

Brent Seabrook

Seabrook is also a great defender and one of the Blackhawks’ toughest players. He is always willing to take a hit for the team and throw the body at him. He was born on April 20, 1985 in Richmond, BC, Canada. He played most of his youth hockey in his hometown of Tsawassen, BC, Canada. Seabrook never played college hockey, but played with Lethbridge in the WHL for a couple of years. In the 2003 NHL draft, Brent was selected 14th overall by the Blackhawks. He was never a player who led the league in goals or assists, but he is known for being one of the league’s biggest hitters. In the 2009-2010 season Seabrook would lead his team with 153 blocks, which is why he is also known for giving his body for the team. With this being the final year of his contract, the Hawks made him an offer a couple of days ago for a five-year extension, which he gladly accepted. He is going to be an important member of this team for the next five years.
