Qualities that a good teacher should appreciate

Are you thinking of becoming a good teacher?

An ideal teacher knows how to balance time, homework, and teaching. That would make it punctual, organized and attractive, in a word, “effective.” Just a lot of teaching and assigning homework to students is not enough homework for a good teacher. He / she must give an account of every moment spent in class. A teacher must bear in mind that their work carries great responsibility.

Be intimate and loving with students and be exuberant at work. Have a magical mastery over the class. Your students should wake up the moment you enter class. Remember, your students are like your spirit children. Take care of them with love; however, where necessary, act strictly! Feel free to say, “You were not good, my dear! That was not classroom behavior.” – such words are not unpleasant at all from a tutor to a student when said at the right time; Especially when a good teacher addresses his student, the mentor does so quite rationally and virtually passes on one of those moral lessons that guides his youngest son for the rest of his life.

When a teacher teaches, they play a versatile role. One is that it delivers the raw materials for study and the other is that it transmits to its students what is the approach and conduct of life. The second is implicit and is often overlooked by a listless instructor. However, this is one factor that makes one an effective and productive tutor and others the opposite. Behavioral inputs record insightful comments about a student’s entire life. It is through this input that social behavior, moral behavior and other characteristics develop in human beings. Good or bad qualities are transmitted from the teacher to the student. Therefore, if one intends to be a good teacher, he must pay attention to what he is delivering to his students in total.

Teaching is not a limited takeover. Explicitly a teacher is the student’s mentor, guide and tutor and implicitly his partner, friend and companion.

Many teachers act and work a lot. Even they study and equip themselves well before class hours; however, what they miss is the solid implementation of their skills and studies. They often mistakenly think that their own satisfaction is a success; This type of self-assessment leads to wrong conclusions. Sometimes they can make the class very exciting; however, they cannot maintain a consistent standard in class conduct. They ignore the fact that they are not being effective. They teach a lot but with less productivity and performance. Although such a problem arises mainly due to lack of sufficient experience, there is still one point that must be seriously considered. Adapt to teaching and focus on the genuine needs of the course and topic at hand. The pretense of being skillful and solid should be strictly avoided. And only a few successful classes shouldn’t satisfy you to the brim. Don’t get carried away while you’ve just started teaching well. Take it as your responsibility and truly, that is it! Thank your Creator who gave you such a quality, which is indeed a blessing.

There are even teachers who are not very aware of their self-development. Class effectiveness should also be measured in terms of self-development and not just by successful delivery in class. Successful delivery in class would be effective and sustainable if the teacher is also self-taught and dedicated to being outside of class. Even at the end of the day you’ve learned something new from a student, that’s not cheap either. Rather I would say that, in the way of teaching, learning new things should be considered a treasure. What you are learning today is in fact your asset tomorrow.

Remember, an ideal teacher is a role model for your students. If you are sincere, communicative and hardworking, the next generation you are training would instill the same.

Often imagine yourself sitting next to your students. If you don’t like your teacher being boring, unsociable, inflexible, and apathetic, how would you do it yourself as a teacher? Do not act, react or do something that you yourself would not like. Don’t worry too much if you’ve already made a mistake and been wrong. Learn from your mistake; do not repeat it; correct yourself.

Finally, I would call the attention of my respected readers to a philosophical point regarding the term “good teacher.” It could be argued that the term “good teacher” should not have been used; “master” itself could be the honest self-explanatory term for the name of a life builder. However, like us human beings, we vary in the choice of good and evil, we bear a name (title) and we defame it because of our own character; therefore, a clear differentiation is necessary for people in general.
