Nintendo Wii: The Perfect House Party Electronic Entertainment

There are many different ways to host a party at home and many different options for presenting during the party to entertain guests. Many of these options are with the use of electronics. Whether it’s a television, stereo system, video game console, or home theater, almost every house party is accompanied by some form of electronic device for entertainment. However, I prefer one electronic above all: the Nintendo Wii. Due to its interactive capabilities, VR-style gameplay, and huge selection of games designed specifically for parties, the Wii is my choice for entertaining guests. Other types of electronic entertainment like television or music from a stereo simply lack the unique entertainment features of the Wii.

One of my favorite features of the Wii is that it’s interactive. Playing on an interactive game console instead of watching TV or a movie, for example, is more interesting because the outcome is influenced by the players’ actions. This adds a factor of personal competition between players. Again, the difference between this and, for example, watching a competitive sporting event on television, is that winning and losing is determined by the party guests participating in the game.

Another factor that makes the Nintendo Wii ideal for house party entertainment is that it is a virtual reality type of game. Unlike many other video game consoles where the controller is simply held and manipulated by a series of buttons, the Wii is operated by a variety of controller movements on the part of the player. In my opinion, this makes the game more interesting because there are more factors that determine the outcome.

Lastly, there are numerous games designed for the Wii that are made specifically for parties. Games like Wii Sports, Wii Play, the Just Dance series, and obvious picks like Wii Party and the Mario Party series for Wii are just a few that are available. Games like these have multiplayer capabilities and are designed to be played with all sorts of skill levels, making them a great option for house parties.

Keep all of these factors in mind when planning your next house party. Put yourself in the place of the guests… What would you like to do at the party? What games would you like to play? Would you like to play something that is interactive or would you prefer to sit back and watch the entertainment happen? When it comes to electronics for entertainment, house parties I’ve thrown or parties I’ve attended, my favorite type of activity has been the interactive VR style of video games, for which the Nintendo Wii is a go-to. perfect.
