How sugar kills you slowly and makes you fat

America is addicted to sugar. Its a big problem. Food companies don’t help either. Trying to find even more deceptive ways to put this killer substance in everything you eat. They’ve already destroyed one of the best foods on the planet, oatmeal with it, and you eat it because they say it’s good for you. What a bunch of nonsense!

With the United States facing an obesity epidemic, consuming refined sugar is not helping. The average American consumes about 175 pounds of sugar each year. Compare that to the 1915 average of about 15 pounds per year.

Woof! That is pretty scary. But the main problem is that refined sugar can be found in almost all packaged foods. Obviously, there are some exceptions. But most of the foods you find in the supermarket contain some type of sugar. Especially processed foods. Some of the most popular ways to introduce sugar into food are with ingredients like sucrose, fructose, corn syrup, glucose, and maltose. There are many more.

Refined sugar is sure to make you fat if you eat enough. And it will prevent you from achieving that dream body you want. They are simply empty calories. It does not contain fiber, protein, vitamins or minerals. Nothing. Wait a minute that sounds like … Water! Oh yeah! But your body is not made up of 75% sugar, is it? When you ingest refined sugar into your body, it is seen as an invader. Alien life forms descend to harm you.

You will see that when you eat refined sugar, your body needs to take nutrients from other cells in the body to metabolize it because refined sugar lacks the ability to do so when it is on. Minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium are taken from vital points in the body to utilize the sugar you just ingested. Therefore, the vital things that these minerals require become much slower and much less efficient over time.

And obviously, with the loss of calcium to help with the sugar attack, your bones will weaken. Thus, the chances of osteoporosis, breaks and fractures later in life increase. Loss of calcium also affects teeth. Tooth decay. Dentists love sugar too. Dentists raise an average of about $ 50 billion worldwide. How much of that do you think is a direct result of consuming refined sugar?

Another common problem with eating a lot of sugar is the onset of diabetes. Sugar raises blood sugar levels in your body very quickly and causes insulin to be released from the pancreas. Your body will work constantly throughout the day if you eat a lot of sugar. If you keep your sugar intake in ways that your pancreas will not be able to do its job and then you will have a big problem with the onset of diabetes.

Who wants that? No one! So we also have problems with energy. Have you ever experienced what is known as a “sugar rush”? It doesn’t last long, does it? You are already tired, you have a sugar craving, you eat sugar, you feel good, little time passes and then CRASH! You come back down from the ‘high’. You feel even more tired, hungrier, and less energetic. Do you like not having energy? You want your energy to last a long time: eat a sweet potato, not a Ding Dong.

So now is the time to quit your sugar addiction. Not so fast: getting out of sugar addiction is not as easy as you think. Sugar can very well be called a drug. It is addictive. People who try to quit their sugary diet experience the same things as smokers, caffeine addicts, and narcotic users. They have headaches, anxiety, depression, mood swings, and more.

It is better to stop consuming refined sugar slowly. Don’t do it all at once. Going from eating donuts and coffee, and McDonalds for lunch and dinner, to eating oatmeal and steamed broccoli, chicken, and egg whites is not going to work. Once a week, try eliminating something from your diet that contains refined sugar and replacing it with something natural.

The last point is not to completely suppress your cravings. Just feed it. But savor every bite and keep the portion small. Good luck!
